Mellor Thirds are back in the Division B title race after a dramatic 4-3 home win against rivals and table toppers Newton Heath Reserves.

The visitors went 2-0 up early in the game and led by that score at half time.

Ben Wade pulled a goal back for Mellor.

The Fourths lost 2-5 at home to Strets Fourths at Brabyns.

Andy Given and Sie Moores were Mellor's scorers.

The Firsts game awaya at Cheadle Hulme Villa was postponed because of an unfit pitch.

Next week Mellor Seconds are the only team at home, hosting bottom of the table Fletcher Moss Firsts.

Mellor Firsts visit Rochdalians.

The Thirds play away at Old Ashtonians Thirds in the Whitehead Cup, while the Fourths go to Bury Amateurs Thirds.
