New Year, new format

Instead of weekly match reports the website will from now on carry news updates. And we start with some depressing news. Third team assistant manager Phil Brown ended up with a broken nose and two black eyes after an altercation at a taxi rank in Sheffield on 29.1.10. Phil needed hospital treatment but is thankfully on the mend. You can get a gist of what happened (and a gruesome picture) from his Facebook page which you will find using the URL www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1358495409. This follows an attack at work on Dunc Bray, of course, who is also recovering. Meanwhile on 30.1.10 the 3rds lost 1-5 away at Whalley Range. Luke Jubb scored. The 4ths lost 1-4 at home to Stoconians. They led 1-0 at the break through a Paul Wild goal but had a mad 10 minutes after the interval, when Stocs scored three times. Phil Welsh in net was the 4ths Man of the Match.

Because of the bad weather no subs or sign on fees have been collected for several weeks so funds are LOW. People owing sign on fees, subs or fine must clear their debts by February 13th or they will not be playing.

The club is trying to raise funds via a trip to Belle Vue dogs on Thursday March 4th. Tickets are £3 from me, £2 cheaper than normal. Text me on 07774 721287.
